    Reverse search question

Hi, I'm a newbie here and I have a reverse search question which i hope is appropriate here even though it's not really an SEO question.

I want to rent/buy/use the background video featured on this site: http://spb.toptiertraffic.com/?p=A9320F40

A programmer has told me it should be available from one of the background video sellers but I've been unable to source it using Google, Tineye or any of the background video sites that I've looked at and I wondered if you guys being experts might have an easy and quick way to source it?

I've spent a lot of time looking and I don't want to inconvenience anyone or take your time unduly but if anyone could get an answer quickly using your skills and knowledge I'd be very grateful.

I should note one weird thing I found when doing the Tineye search.

Tineye came up with something like 470 results and all of them were of the same image, but it's nothing like the beachfront image in the video.

However, when you first click on that link I posted above, the image that Tineye believes is the correct one flashes in the background like a subliminal message for a split second before the video overlays it and starts playing.

That's pretty weird and I don't know what it means myself but maybe it could help in some way.

    Thanks.

    Hi again Chedders,

I realize you might think this is a bit cheeky, but if you don't mind passing on a bit of your skills, could you give me a clue how you found that and also please tell me how difficult it was for you and how long it took you?

I'm perfectly OK if you prefer not to reveal your secrets in public but the reason I ask is I spent 6 hours yesterday looking for that and I got absolutely nowhere so I'm eager to learn what I did wrong and how I should go about searches like that in the future.

Like I said, I don't want you to post anything you're not comfortable in posting, so please don't feel bad if you you're going to decline.

But thanks again for your efforts anyway, really appreciated here.

    <5 minutes

It was simple, I looked in the code of the page you posted for the video
    the line was
    Code:
    <source src="http://i.svpages.com/video/beachtimelapse.webm" type="video/webm">
I then went to that URL to confirm it was the right video.
Then I took a screen grab of a frame of the video which gave me the following image

I then dragged that image into google image search which gave me the following results

The first result contained the video you was after.

All in all about 3 minutes I would guess.

    Ouch!
I spent 6 hours looking for that and still couldn't find it!

The thing I don't understand is how you "looked in the code"
I don't know how you do that.
I tried left clicking, right clicking but nothing let me "look at the code".

I'm on an Apple so maybe that's whay I can't see the code?

And let me ask you, if you can see the code does it mean you can interfere with the code on there, or on any given website?

That sounds scary if it is possible.

I'm way out of my depth here but I am fascinated to hear how you got that done so quickly.

But thanks again for finding it and for your explanation.

    Much appreciated.

on a PC using chrome its Ctrl + U to view the source code of any website. No idea on a Mac I am afraid.
As for altering it, no I am afraid, what you get in a browser is a copy from the server so if you where to make changes its only on your local machine.

In order to change the code on the server requires a whole set of other skills I am afraid and that's called hacking which is not legal.

Wow, I've learnt so much today.
I found out how to see the code on a Mac using Safari and I tried it out and it works.

I'm glad to hear it can't be tampered with - well only by hackers - but I doubt my site is of interest to them.

Hey man, I can't thank you enough for your help and your expertise.

    Have a great day!
