Online reporting tools like Ahrefs inaccurate due to Disavow Files

Am I correct in thinking Online reporting tools like Ahrefs and Majestic are highly inaccurate as they don't take disavow files into consideration?

When Google processes a disavow file, nothing changes to the original link (Google just turns it into a no-follow link within their own database) This means that when you look at a competitors links on Ahrefs, for example, the overall amount of links, anchor text ratio and other factors are quite possibly highly inaccurate.

I've spoken to ahrefs and they don't have anything in places to submit your disavow file to them directly in order to see an up to date link profile.

How do we check our competitors link profiles accurately?

After the fact is kinda hard..I create a disavow list from SEO spyglass and mark them nofollow, then I have a fairly current list. I can also add the links from the wmt so I don't miss any.
