    New Domain

    Hi,

I have a website and I want to change the domain name on with still the same page. If I do a 301 redirect to the new domain, then would that page rank higher on google even though the page is the same?

    Thanks,

    Sacha

Oh, Shoot, sorry I left out an important part. The new domain that I would be using is an expired domain that already has a lot of link juice flowing to it and has a high DA, TF, CF, etc. So would the new and more powerful domain make a difference?

Hard to tell what you got with the expired domain, it could help or it may crash your site.

Oh so its only new to you.
You have to remember there is normally a reason why a domain becomes expired. If a domain was successful owners tend to hang on to them, not all I grant you.
However by the very nature churn and burn sites, sites with penalties, parts of PBN's etc far outway the few genuine ones around.
Full due diligence will be required before moving any content.
