    Keywords

How much can you use a keyword in a blog post? What is the best volume?

You can use it as often as your want. 1, 2 , even 3 or 4, or 100 times. It's not about volume, it's about quality content that has value. There is no magic number for the number of times to include
a word in a post to make it rank better. If there were we would all be gaming Google with it. That is one of the reasons Google uses over 200 markers for their ranking algo. To deliberately make it harder to game the system. Now why don't you ask a question that will help you.

The issue is the content has to match the word, and the use of synonyms to backup the keyword you want rank for so your target is backed up by other words that would be expected.

For example if you was a dentist I would expect to have other word within the content such as teeth, tooth, dental etc so the meaning of the page matches the what your targeting. You need to write naturally for the user but mentioning the word over and over wont win you any awards and therefore pointless

    So as a bad example
Fred blogs is the best dentist in the new york area and when you need a dentist then the dentist to call is Fred the best dentist in the area.

Its just spammy and wont help in the slightest.

I also read somewhere while I was reading useful blogs a while ago that once is typically enough. Thanks for your insightful response.
