Indexed website three days ago... issues on third day

    I indexed my new site...

first two days where good days with ranking.

Then out of no where, one of my URLs have been removed from google search.

    sitemap - fine
    robots.txt - fine
no messages from webmaster tools with bans or anything either.

This is my second ever seo project. Could someone take a look at the page, see what's happened?

*UPDATE: It's back on the search results. This is so odd?

Please note: I'm aware the website needs finishing. But 99% of what needs doing is there, so I figured I'd index and make the little changes whilst ranking.

No idea why, but I know it happens sometimes. Anyway, 3 days is really short to analyse things give it some time first and we'll get back to it.

I seize the occasion to tell you should that you should really fix resources loading using http instead of https, to validate your page security (seems to be related to the use of maxCDN and its configuration).

Hello Pierre, thank you for taking a look. I'm glad it's normal and nothing serious!

I'm a bit confused with what you mean regarding http / https? Do you mean images etc being https? I never knew this was a problem... I'll take a look.

    Thank you

    Hi matt

If you look at the following image (my address bar in chrome, you should see on the right side, a shield with a x)

    https-error.jpg

This means that not all the resources available on the page are served using a crypted transfer protocol (https), If you implement an SSL certificate on your domain and use https you should serve resources only using the https protocole.

To find the issues, check your page code for http requests and modify them, I've seen CDN links but there might be other things too.

    Hi Matt

You just registered that site in Sept. on the 20th.

CDN's are not for everyone. I honestly think you are paying too much attention to what folks would consider high end performance tweaks and not enough attention to general site maintenance and SEO.

From looking at the site, I think your content is a bit thin.

May I ask what you have done to improve the SEO of your site, besides using a CDN.

I suggest you put more attention to on-page SEO and possibly some link building.

Hi Pierre, I understand what you mean now! I will sort it out - thanks for bringing this to my attention!

    Hi KnowOneSpecial

Linking building will be coming when the website is completely done.

    What I've done?

    - A large amount of content - more than all competitors (2k words)
    - 1# keyword phrase in h1 and most h2's with an overall density of 2.5%
    - 2# keyword phrase in a h2, with an overall density of 1.3%
    - minified html, css and js.
    - Overall speed is pretty good - beats all competitors
    - I've added some long tail keywords
    - 1# keyword is featured in the paragraph below the h1, basically straight away.
    - SEO friendly URL featuring my 1# keyword phrase
    - Outbound links for relevence (users need these links too)
    - all images have alt tags
    - social media linking

What do you mean by the on-page SEO is slim? Please could you go into a bit more detail?
If you're talking about the homepage, this isn't properly finished yet... the 'for learners' page is the page - which is of the most importance right now.

I was implying your content is thin on your homepage, but since you have not finished it.. consider this...

Your web site homepage has the most link juice and properly used can help your inner pages... me, I would fix the home page 1st and then move on to inner pages.. but that is my opinion. ( I will suggest you should do the same )

How strange! - I've just finished the content for the homepage. Pictures etc will be added tomorrow.

The inner page was originally the homepage, but I then turned it into an inner page. This way homepage + inner pages could attack different keywords and the money page could have stars for reviews because homepages can't have this apparently. I was more looking for approval in terms of content etc to check I hadn't done anything majorly wrong!
