    Google Seach Console error

    Hi everyone,

Im kind of new to the online world, and im trying to find my way through everything - so please bear with me.

I have unfortunately deleted an old page, and created a new on my domain - ctdenmark.dk and afterwards i have found out that it wasn't the smartest decision in the world.

When i look in google search console i have 724 crawlingerrors with the code 503 and many (if not all) of them are old and deleted pages.
From what i have been able to read me to, the error means the google can not acces my site with the crawlers? please correct me if im wrong.

So i have made a robots.txt file, which looks like this:
    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /wp-admin
    Disallow: /wp-includes

So, is there any way that i can either completely remove my old deleted pages sites or tell google not to index them?

    Kind regards
    Patrick

Use a 301 redirect to send folks to the new page.

    Hello Palle,

If you want to delete your old pages just delete your sitemap and make new one and submit it again

The 503 error is not that the page is not found that would be a 404 error.
The error is saying that the service requested is unavailable, sometimes this can be due to the server being too busy or something has gone wrong. It is a server error though and not normally just a simple missing page.
A lot would depend on your setup and what is going wrong, I guess its possible that your system is trying to retrieve a page and failing and instead of giving the standard 404 error its crashing and giving the 503 error but that is not normal practice so I would try and recreate the error by visiting some of the reported pages to see what you are getting.

The strange thing with 503 errors if the server is under heavy load they may return a 503 but visiting them again produces a 200 OK message so it can sort of be treated as a busy error.
