Google not indexing my https domain site

    Hi,

A few months back I converted my site to https, but google still indexes my older domain with http. I have done all the redirections in google domain manager and also in goDaddy.

How do i ensure that I get my https domain indexed. In the webmaster tools it says that data for my https site is not available instead try with http

Not sure what the policies are in this forum but are you able to post the link to your website?

    Hi Donald,

You can post your URL - just make sure to use the format: www(dot)example(dot)com. Basically replace the "." with the word "dot".

I guess Google is very strict on indexing https sites, I'm not sure though. I used to have an https site before and Google only indexed the http one, not the https one.
As of now, I'm sticking to http one on main site and https on login pages or admin panel.

    Donald,

Google indexes https. The reasons you don't get indexed is either

    1. It is taking time to recrawl
2.OR you have not done something that must be done
3.Last chance is that Google has indexed a set of URL's and others are still being indexed now. To find out if a part has been indexed try searching like this in google

    site:twitter.com inurl:https

replace twitter with your domain and see if any URLS are indexed

Also did you check if your https urls are indexed in BING? It will help you narrow down the results.

We do not know the website in Question is and what he has done. So, if he lists the steps taken we can find out what he has missed.
