G! and Meta titles and Meta description

I've setup Meta tags for a friend's site, but G! doesn't pick it up. I am not sure why that is happening? Maybe re-direct to https or no index is the reason?

Here the screenshot img of SERP:

    Anyone ideas?
    Thanks of any help

Chedders..Thank you for your help. I've now had the dev add it, but it still doesn't get picked up even that I re-submitted page to G! a few days ago. Any thoughts or is G! just taking their time? Thanks for any help

I am afraid it can take weeks for the change to happen. A lot depends on how often google visit.
There is no garrentee either google will use your description if your using it as a advert. It should describe the page. If google don't trust it they will make up their own.

Thanks. Much appreciated. At least Title should be updated. Site is very thin right now...so we'll add more pages. Thank you!
