Domain already exist in a directory

    Hie all,

Please clarify, i got a SEO project whose off page is done already by some other person and now i got it. So, what should be the strategy for that. Like, the main problem is that, while submitting the link in directory the error shows domain name already exist in this directory. So Please suggest, there are so many directories which are already having my domain links.

    My questions to you:

    1) What is wrong with the previous entries, that you have to change them?
    2) Have you tried to contact the directory owners via email or something?
2bis) Most decent web directories have the option to change a listed entry...
    3) Why are you focusing on web directories? They are so very "2004"...

Of course it is, but you'll probably have to contact each web directory owner individually if you've lost your login info and/or they don't have the option to change your listing.

P.S.: in the latter case, I wouldn't even bother if I were you. A directory that is fixed and that has no option to adapt a current listing is sure to have NO value at all, backlink-wise.
That said: if you have quota to meet, then by all means go for it. Just don't expect too many -- if any -- positive results.

    Good luck
