    Does seo for html website is different from wordpress?


    Hello Guys,

    I have only done seo for a html website, does seo for wordpress is different.

    What things are different and why is it different from html.

    No, It's exactly the same.

    In one case you will edit all your HTML files, in the other you will edit template files and install a plugin to access customization of your pages titles and meta descriptions (meta descriptions are only useful for SERP CTR not for SEO per se).

    But what Google wants to see on your website stays the same...

    With html you need to do all the tags etc. With WP you
    need to do the same but it's done elsewhere within the theme

    Using a CMS like wordpress most of the technical aspects are taken care of for you, that's the advantage of using one. It allows you to get great looking websites up and running quickly and not have to worry too much about whats going on behind the scenes.

    Out of the box wordpress though does not give you access and allow you to edit some of the things you will want so you will need an SEO plugin. Yoast is very popular but there are many others.
    As for the content and basic structure of your site, that all remains the same. So just because you have moved over to wordpress that on its own wont boost your site. HTML sites can rank equally as well assuming you wrote it correctly. It just becomes a hell of a lot easier to manage and grow.
