Smile Change domain name but keep rankings...

Hi guys - in great need of help! A client needs to change the domain name on a very well ranked site.
Is there a way to change the domain name, have the same content to the new domain and still keep the rankings?
The site needs to appear in the SERPs as the new domain name.
Is there a way to do this?!

    Many thanks in advance

thanks for the reply! will a 301 mean that the new domain name will appear in place of the old domain name in the SERPs too?

You do understand we're all volunteers here, don't you? With that said, he's correct. Why on earth are you touching a client's website if you don't even have the most basic SEO 101 knowledge of what YOU'RE doing?

Auto correct, but don't count on auto correct to help in your situation.
