    Can adjectives show buying intent?

    Hello all,

I am working on a small keyword research, and focusing on the ones that show a commercial intent.
A part from the usual ones (buy, online, deals…..) I was wondering: would adjectives fall into this category? What I mean is: “coffee table” would be a very broad keyword, but could “large black coffee table” be considered as a “commercial” keyword? I know it does not have anything “commercial” in it, but it’s also possible that someone searching for a “large black coffee table” is also ready to buy one, because he’s passed the consideration phase. What do you guys think?

    Thanks for your opinion

It could be, hard to say without any advanced analytics data (conversion tracking etc...). Obviously if the search query is more specific then the user already has a good idea of what he is looking for at this particular moment, but he could only be looking for images for inspiration or something else.

In any case if you could additionally optimise your pages for such queries then why not do it. How ether make sure you do so on queries for which your pages are very relevant.

Some times just searching the keyword and examining the SERP can lend insight as to what the intent may be. You could also examine the results with and without the term "large" and possibly gleam some info from that.
