I wanted to know what is the difference between Business Listing and Local Listing?
Or both are same? Also I wanted to know what is Website Pinging?

I think you are referring to the same thing. However a business listing could be something you would find in a business directory such as yelp, whereas local listing is targeting a geographical location.

Pinging is often a term used to confirm a site is there and responding.
If on a PC open a command box (cmd) and type ping domainname if the site is alive and well it will respond else you will get a error message.
Dont put the http bit as that's the protocol.

so for this site you would type ping forums.seochat.com and it will reply with the ip address of the site which shows its alive.

However sometimes people may use the term to visit the site i.e. to open it in a browser so it depends on the context it was said.
