    AHREFS Broken Backlink Retrieval

One of my SEO client website had a huge drop of backlink somewhere in March-April-May'2016. I don't find why it had happened.

My guess is that the new version of the website is close to that time

But the URL is still the same. Can it be something with URL security / WWW or Non-WWW.

How can I resolve the problem and most important, how can I get back most of that SEO Juice ?

I would start by trying to pinpoint when/why exactly (don't want to spend ages fixing something that didn't have any effect)!

If the website was updated and the domain was altered (http/https, www/non-www, etc) the answer is to create canonical redirects (from non-www to www, from http to https etc), so the old backlinks are once again connected/live.

If old URL's (with incoming backlinks) were removed, add 301 redirects to related new pages (to reconnect backlinks).
