    AdWords Unapproved: Destination not reachable

    Hi all:

    I hope someone can give us a hand here. We have done GoGoogle AdWords for years successfully, but this time we keep getting the “destination not reachable” error. We have checked that the site works properly, correctly configured SSL certificate so that it is reachable with http, https, www etc. We have also used tools to check that it is reachable from all browsers in different parts of the world. The destination is geoquote.co. Any help is appreciated.

    I dont use adwords myself but I have heard of people having problems if they are geocoding the user, i.e. redirecting to a different page depending on the user location / country.
    As far as I am aware google does not say where they based which could confuse your serverside software and return an error, this would create the error your describing but you yourself can still visit the site.

    Make sure you put the site as www.website.com and don't add any http stuff. Other then that take a picture and upload it of your form your filling out to post the ad so I can see what else could be wrong.

    Also is your website using any targeting geo location stuff on users?I have a feeling the Google bot can not reach your site.

    I found this in stack exchange for your same question.

    WE FOUND THE PROBLEM.

    The thing was, our server tries to redirect users based on their locale, but bots don't have a locale, so the server was trying to parse a non-existant string and crashed. This was hard to find out, because it would only happen when a BOT was trying to access the site. Manual testing was seamless.

    A simple if(locale == undefined){ go to /en} did the trick.

    So, the moral of the story is: test your website as a search engine bot would (using online test sites) on top of how a user would.
