Why does MSN NOT pick up the page title for this site?
Anyone know why this site shows the http://URLNAME as the page title when I enter the complete www.address into the search box at MSN?
Site: www.coverquest.com and if you know why, how can I recommend correcting it to the site owner so MSN will see our current page title correctly? Europa |

Most probably is just matter of time 'till it will be coorected (especially if you modified the title recently).
However if it's not corrected in a few weeks than it may be a problem.

It hasn't been corrected in a few weeks, thus the reason for my post. I'm going to recommend my client add the standard: <META NAME="robots" Content="index, follow">
code to his site. Because it does seem that MSN is not re-crawling his site. Thanks for some input though, it is better than none. Europa Last edited by europa : January 17th, 2006 at 10:47 AM. Reason: update |

Links
Some links from sites that are regularly crawled should solve the problem. MSN is generally the most active spider.

The same thing just happened to one of my sites. Two days ago I was on page one of the search results with my site title and description. Today, I'm on page 2 with just the URL. Weird.

Yeah....it just seems strange to me because it is the only site out of 20 I'm working with that has that problem. The code is clean and is seen correctly everywhere else. We added the index follow code and the result is still the same.

Thanks! I'm hoping that is the case for my client's site too. Customers don't stay happy very long when you say, I don't have any idea why it is that way! Afer all..I am the SEO expert right!

Thanks Halfdeck! First time I have seen this tool. I'll pass it on to the site owner. I appreciate your help!
