According to me, just submit your site in directories; Dmoz takes time while adding new sites. Dmoz considers different factor while listing any site. So, submit your site in directories, this will help you in getting more backlinks. When your backlinks are more then search engine will automatically find & list your site.

It's a large human edited dicrectory. Dmoz gets indexed frequently so getting listed there will help you get indexed in the search engines faster.
