When Will MSN Beta go live

Does anyone have a clue when the beta will go live? I have heard rumours that December 04 or January 05 is the date. can anyone confirm this.

No, no one can confirm that, but those dates are highly rumored. An MSN rep at a recent seo show said "very, very soon". Just have to wait and see.

I've heard multiple dates...Dec 15 (little late), Dec 24th (wouldn't mind that too much), Jan 3rd (we'll see).

I think they are ready to roll it out and are just taking care of some last minute issues.

So is it pretty likely we'll see it at least by the end of January?

my opinion is the BETA MSN is it is NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME yet ..... but it is interestingly different than Yahoo or google .... so they do have some unique thinking going on ..... and honestly it looks like to me they may be CLOSER to GENUINE relevance than google ..... they appear to just need to sharpen it up a bit to catch a few ELEMENTary spammers ..... like the kw-kw.com sites that seem to rank higher than normal there ...

When you say your site "was gone to 1000", do you mean it's at #1000 for your targetted search phrase?

If so, where was it before?

I ask because my site dropped from #1 to #18 then went to #6 and now seems to have been dropped completely for my targetted search phrase.

I thought I was alone...

Hi,

They are still adjusting their algorithm and results tend to change frequently.
I think it's a bit more stable for a few days, does it mean public release soon ?
Actually lot of people already use their toolbar and personnally i use it more then Google's now.

The sooner the better. For the two sites I work on most, I've got a rank of #1 on one, and #2 on the other.

I've seen similar results. It's vastly different from Google.

According to webmasterworld forums people are reporting the beta has gone live but this seems to be specific to a selected few in certain geographic regions. msn.co.uk is still based on inktomi

looks like there rolling it out slowly if so i hope they do msn.co.uk would be a great christmas present

There was something about people seeing live results, but when they deleted the cookie on their computer, no more Beta results.

I will add that I have the MSN Desktop Search on my computer and I get the Beta there, so probably some people from the general population are seeing the SERPS.
