What is the difference in Traffic (= uniques) between Yahoo & MSN?

What is the difference in Traffic (= uniques) between Yahoo & MSN?

Let see I have nr. 5 position in MSN for a certain keyword & get on a daily basis average 100 Uniques!

- How much Uniques I probably will get for same keyword same nr. 5 position in Yahoo?

- With what number I can multiply traffic in Yahoo compared to MSN in general?

Thanks a lot!

I get more traffic from MSN than Y! It's not by much and I think it is because I tend to rank better in MSN. I think MSN users are more my target as well.

Anyway...

As of July '05, MSN has 12.6% of the market and Y! has 22.5% so:

MSN/12.6 = Y!/22.5

But I suspect MSN has grabbed a lot of Y!'s traffic (and probably a bit of G's as well) and niche market makes a difference so take it for what it's worth.

About $.02

I think, since MSN internet software comes bundled with certain computers (i.e., DellNet by MSN), the # of people using MSN as a search engine would be increasing at a faster rate than Yahoo.

I know for myself, I used to get many more referrals from MSN over Yahoo, and at this time, my rankings were #4 on MSN versus #3 on Yahoo, and I was always confused by the fact that most of my referrals came from MSN.

The difference seems to vary between search terms. I have a few that are a little more than 2 to 1 Yahoo over MSN. I have seen it higher than that.
