Weird Indexed URL
Hi everyone,
MSN has indexed some very strange URL's for one of my client's web sites. The indexed URL looks like this: www.clientsname.com/googleresults.jsp?searchTerm=E%20Commerce&domainName=betscherequ... or www.clientsname.com/googleresults.jsp?searchTerm=Hotels&domainName=betscherequipment... You will love this well not really..  Its looks like its from everyones buddies at Network Solutions. (At least that is one place I am seeing these type of links from) Was the sites domain name ever close to renewal? Take a look at a sample page like this: http://www.satspy.com/ Then go look at the links in the Related Categories & Popular Categories... Do the look the same as what you are seeing? Ohh and I forgot this is kinda related way to combat this especially if you are still having problems.
1. Try these weird URLs and if your server sends a 200 OK status and serves the homepage (which it normally will) then you have a problem and these URLs won't drop from the index. If so then follow this guys advice (Plus just good to know overall) -> http://www.boogybonbon.com/2006/11/04/how-to-remove-your-competitors-from-msn-live/
