As a continuation to the Switch to MSN? thread, I wanted to add a poll and see what people will do.

I have no aversion to switching over but Google still works for me in my personal searches. From an SEO standpoint, I target what brings me visitors and thats still Google. The user will always determine who I target and as much as I will it to be different, it won't change things. MSN has grown enough to be noticed but I have top rank there already because of my "SEO for Google".
I don't have the luxury to swear off Google like so many others professionaly (which I think is mostly talk in response to their individual SERPs drop), and personally I find what I am looking for 90% of the time. If not I go MSN then Yahoo last Its popular to say you hate Google and always use MSN but I think deep down many of those chanting that still search with G in secret I never thought I would see a day when Google was viewed as more evil than Micro$oft |

Seeing that about 75% of my search traffic comes from Google, I want to stay close to where most of my traffic is coming from. I visit to use Y and MSN, but only for test purposes. If my traffic changes then I will consider moving to MSN because their SERPs are almost a duplicate of my SERPs on Google.

For content and academic research I like Google's search results better. I can find what I am looking for easily. However, I do lots of deep searching and use Yahoo and MSN regularly. They contain many gems that Google must be filtering or ranking at very very low levels.
For SEO I am attacking all of them.

I still use Google for searching. Old habits die hard.

Both, of course... I'm still waiting for Jux2.com to include msn results
side note: boy - you mods really stick out now with the red names. Quite useful, I agree, but four in a row looks a bit like a mod mob

I think Jason said it best.
Cant wait until MSN starts bombing sites. We'll see how many jump on the "MSN is evil" and "I'm switching to A9.com" bandwagon. |

I voted for Google, but it's clear that Google fears Microsoft.
Go to http://maps.google.com/ and choose local search, then search for Weapons of mass destruction (What) in Redmond (Where). http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Weapons%20of%20Mass%20Destruction%20in%20Re dmond%2C%20WA&spn=1.542969%2C2.814678

once mns increases the size of its index database, we'll see an increase in its search market share.

I primarily use MSN, so I voted that I made the switch. This is mainly due to what Egol has already mentioned, there are gems contained in MSN that Google filters.
However, sometimes more complex searches for six keywords can be better found using Google. So if I can't find what I am looking for in MSN, I use Google. After that, I'll default to Yahoo.

I think it is key to focus on areas that you can exploit in any engine that can drive traffic.

Yep, made the switch. Google penalizing new sites and lots of older relevant sites to make people click their adwords to find what they need got me ticked off (just my personal conspiracy theory opinion). Dang greed.
