Maybe they are setting themselves up with there own directory????

It does seem worth the money to me. Normally I only list sites in one off fee directories.

They don't seem selective enough, to me. I've seen many crappy sites placed in completely irrelevent categories. I wish they had better quality control. I may still sign up with them, though.

I love the MSN directory - been using it for over a year.

My page there actually outranks my site for many of its keywords and I get a ton of traffic from it. MSN = big, established, authority. Since you can customize your page there and buy up to 4 external links, I just make it into a little private homepage hosted by MSN.

I think it's a very high quality directory from a link standpoint.

$49 (sorry to nitpick). It seems to carry more weight than the Yahoo Directory as I start seeing the links matriculate across clients who've listed in it.

It does sound like it would be worth the $49 - about £27 - £28 to us guys over here in the UK. Do not usually spend any money on directories but some good points have been made above.
