I did post 2 months ago when my traffic disappeared but the thread seemed to diversify off at a bit of another angle.
Don't get me wrong my google traffic isn't bad (www.powerseeker.co.uk) and it's improving month to month. Also Yahoo doesn't bother with me much either. The site was registered in 1999 and was banned from Google last year for poor linking to bad neighbourhoods. I managed to get back into Google within 2 months (Jan). Then around May 20th Boom! All MSN activity stopped - Mysite was getting excellent traffic from MSN and always did. I noticed now that in the MSN ndex my site has a 2 pages indexed - the root and a page in a directory that hasn't existed for at least 3 - 4 years... My site has regular content all unique so I'm really stuck guys! Any MSN experts know what I'm up against? Thanks Ade |

This happened to one of my poker sites on msn.
Completely dropped from the serps. Had two out of 50 or so pages indexed still. I hadn't changed a thing and hand't added anymore links. So I knew it couldn't have been anything that I had done. After two weeks I got impatient and submitted my site to msn through their submission page, and got reindexed fully about two weeks later. I don't really know if that is what did it or not, but I don't think that it would hurt at all. If you are already getting zero traffic it sure can't hurt. |

Thanks Andrew, I knew not many would answer this but appreciate your time, sounds like I have the exact problem you did.
Will give it a go & repost if anything happens.. |

Try building some back links to your inner pages... I think this may help.

It's nothing to do with links - I have a sister site that has 6 years less links (basically none!) and that is doing fine in MSN...
totally confused! |

I really don't see how this would help him. If it was just an indexing issue then sure I would agree with you 100% but that doesn't seem to be at all what the problem is here. It really couldn't be a penatly either as I think the whole site would be gone. Honestly if it were me I would resubmit once a day for about a week. I used to resubmit everytime I made a change on my site and I was getting crawled all the time. Has the resubmission helped at all? If not pm me and we'll see if we can't work out some help for ya. Better yet email me at sneakypetey24@hotmail.com I only come here once every week or so. Last edited by andrewk78 : August 29th, 2006 at 01:07 AM. |

Have you probably exchanged links with some bad partners recently? Usually such sudden ban problems occur as a result of risky exchanges.

no the link partners are all vetted. Google is happy so there can't be much of a problem..??
