I was just throwing out my experience and observations for one topic. We will have to hear from many. In the meantime its not really out yet. Secondly who knows if it will generate a lot of search traffic?

And that's good. Maybe the one observation which at first looked not so good really was good? Remember, many have been wrong before. Bill Gates about WWW, and IBM about computers for example...

BTW, I reiterate, MSN beta's backlink tool seems by far to be the best tool for bl's. We added a lot of recent bls and beta link:www. mydomain seems to capture all of them quickly. I suspect that google is also capturing them - just not reporting them. The McDar tools recently moved us from 2nd to first for allinanchor for our most competitive kword phrase. I'm sure that is a result of a recent heavy effort for bls. We spread the anchor text around, but I think more than 1/2 of the recent effort was on the main keyword phrase.

Even though on my quick first glance at msn beta for serps - I don't see any examples of bls being important - msn beta bl tool seems to be a good indicator of what google is reading.

msn beta for reporting backlinks is very very up to date, it also includes links I have obtained in the last couple of days. The msn bot has also indexed the majority of the php forum on my newer site and that has yet to be modded yet so search engines can trawl it!!! I'm well impressed.
