Possible example of how few searchers MSN has.
I think this is a reasonable example of how few searches MSN has compared to Google. My site now ranks #1 and #2 for the term Internet marketing classes at MSN and I get about one visitor per month.

Perhaps folks desiring this type of training are using Google but I still find it unusual this term is not generating a little more traffic than one a month. BTW the landing pages are relevant so that isn't the problem IMO.

I rank #1 for pretty much over 30 to 50 keyword combinations on google, msn, yahoo and ask. For 100 google hits, I would get 80 from yahoo 10 from msn&live combined and 5 from Ask (aprox over last month).

I do not know why msn/live does so bad. It is far superior to Yahoo as far as SE go IMO. I just reckon people hate using microsft products and avoid anything from them if their is another easy choice. I think bad will is hurting msn/live.

A few months Back, MSN's Cralwers were so very fast, they cud prolly detect the changes made so fast within 24hrs or so, and consider the changes for the rankings criterion.. I guess people exploited it, and they rolled back..

The cralwer has again gone slow, and the ranking process too..

They have given so much of weight to the TITLE, change the title to your keyword, leave the site for a week, check the ranks again, and boom.. u r done..

A few months back.. This is what I did to one of the site.. it still ranks there.. Changed the title and brought forward the second KW, the ranks for first KW dropped, and new KW showed up..

A few manipulation areas, but overall good.. ahh better then yahoo..

One Customer per month from LIVE aint a bad deal anyway

I agree that MSN provides much better results than Yahoo. Your are probably right about a lot of people not wanting to use it because it is Microsoft.

LKS....heck I get more visitors a month from some site called NETSALAD than from MSN. (Sorry everyone....private joke).
