Not an adult
I can't go to any MSN pages because it says I'm not an adult. It's asking for my credit card number to verify. Has anybody seen this?

That's new. Weird and new. You sure somebody didn't set content filter software on your PC as a joke?

Unless of course you ARE indeed a minor {grin} MS knows.
BTW I wouldn't give my credit card number to a webpage I didn't ask for. Smells like spyware/ browser hijack to me. Have you tried another browser?

i ran adaware and that msn spyware beta and it didn't find anything. i think this is a legitamite passport problem. i've had this email account since '97 and it looks like i'm gonna have to abondon it. but i still can't get on to msn.com to do a search. i emailed msn and they told me to fax in a copy of my drivers lisence to prove i'm an adult. rediculous...

This is definitely strange. Are you getting this from your home computer? Work computer? Library? It's possible if you are at work or a library (or someplace else where someone other than you is the comp owner), the computer owner may have installed a filtering device/program. That, or the ISP has installed it (for the service used by that computer). If at home, I'd ask others who live there, check the control panel for installed programs. Just another thought... are you having this trouble when you type in your browser msn.com or when you try using an MSN service such as .NET Passport? If a service, it's possible it's a new feature for that service. If MSN's website, it's very strange. |
