New Filters?

My site that ranks under a very popular keyword search just dropped from the #11 spot to the fourth and fifth page of results. Just suddenly- in one go. It's gone down for all my targeted search queries too. Anybodyelse experiencing this? I'm wondering what kind of filter they might have implemented?

Could they be moving towards an aging filter too?

I'm going to check the age of the sites ahead of me to figure this out a little more.

MSN are constantly tweaking their algo, and my backlinks count there seems to drop by the day - LOL.

I guess that once you pass a certain BL count threshold, a ranking drop is inevitable.

That is - if your competitors are working their b***s off getting more links and stuff like for other SEs.

My site also droped for one main keyword from #3 to #35 in one day. I added +500 extra BL to my site in few days. Can it be the problem ?

We dropped from 1 & 2 to 3 and 4 - the number one and two spot has ten backlinks, we have 6,558.

I am not sure what the deal is as when we dropped nothing radical change or backlink wise had been done thus becomes the great struggle to regain one and two without a clue.....

Drats.....

About 10 days ago I dropped from #1 (which I had held for about 4 months) to #2.

Now today, I've dropped from #2 to #3.

There have been no real changes to the site, but my BL count has had a couple of spikes.

That leads me to wonder whether M$N is now monitoring link patterns.

Our site has gone from 500 plus pages indexed for last few month to 54! Given up on Google, Yahoo! has 1 page indexed and now MSN has gone a bit weird! Think I'll become a plumber!

The same for me

I see a change on the backlinks from MSN but the result on the SERPS is the same, at least for me and for my keywords....

For some of my pages, I now even have to put a three-word phrase in quotes (Eewww!) to appear on the first MSN serps. I'm still on page one for a more difficult one-worder though - I don't get this algo Hope it's temporary, or else I may need to actually try and make sense out of it - heh.
