Well, I have heard its going to be close to the end of the year. November might be a bit early, but you never know. I spent good time testing the preview out last night. I don't think its quite ready to go "live" yet. It has a large index capped at 2 billion results at the moment not sure if it will expand beyond that. But with each tech preview new changes are being added and tweaked. Remember this is a search engine that has been written from the ground up. So how is every one doing in the results? I am loving it. :-)

I'm doing okay...some of my sites that shouldn't rank, do, and those that should, don't. It'd be a wash for me -- a bit more tweaking is needed though.

I think it will be real interesting to see if they can pick up traffic. Right now ggle delivers 4-5 times the traffic and yahoo delivers2-3 times the traffic. We are #1 in current and new MSN and only 5 or 6 in google.

It is amazinng how current MSN leaks traffic. I think about 90% of the browsers that view our site are IE.

Hmmm...it bears watching. Currently I'm number two on google for Las Vegas real estate and on MSN we are 9th. I'll take a top ten position any day.

The search results at MSN preview are changing as more sites are indexed. I wonder how msn is going to evaluate the age factor of target sites as the engine itself is new. Maybe it will not put more weight on older sites as compared to new sites in ranking algo.
