MSN Search Engine Optimization Tips

Thought it might be a good time to review what MSN give for the official "Search Engine Optimization Tips".

Looks like it could use some updating...but overall it's the basics.

Definitely needs some updating. MSN had better know how to cope with dynamic content at least without session tags if they want to keep up.

Lol are they serious?

Tag tips:
We recommend that you include 1-2 of your most important keyword phrases in the title tag, BUT be careful not to just list keywords. If you just list keywords you risk being viewed as a spamming the engines which can ultimately lead to you being blacklisted by the search engines.

Is MSN using links as one of the criteria?

I suspect we'll have to wait and see. Those criteria had better not be the current ones, or MSN Search won't go anywhere.

That said, I would expect linking to have some relevance, but exactly how much is impossible to predict.

I thought it was up to the programmer to not feed session id's to engines??? Why have the bot take care of it when anyone can easily. Covering all the bases is fun ;)
