MSN new results: Screwed Up!

They seems to have messed up the results good now. At least for me. Im all gone from the MSN search engine. Was no.2 yesterday for my main kw, now nowhere to be found. I am in the first 20 on all other SE including Google. Whats happening here. They must have introduced the new results.

It is beta. Give it some time, but make no mistake MSN algorithm is a fair bit different than the Bayes like Anchorlink Token system Google and Yahoo are using.

Just because they have you ranked high, doesn't gauretee anything on MSN. I hope MSN will able to continue using "on page" content to decide a sites ranking, while avoiding abuse & spam.

God knows Googles attempt to deal with spam has turned everything to sh$t. The Anchor Link filter is good and all, but is definately biased to older and larger sites.

heh, perhaps I just made that phrase up (-;

I simply estimate that a good 70% of ones SERP is derived completely by external Anchor Link text.

They need to do something. The results they are giving right now have a site listed at number one who has massive amounts of generated pages to boost its ranking. I've seen a lot of spammy sites rank well also. It seems the old school tricks work well in the new msn.

Give them time. The reason they have allowed us to preview their new results is to get feedback. If there is a problem with sites then let them know. You may not get any joy from this but it is worth a try!

I'm totally gone from MSN. The stuff they are posting now is all $hit. I think they need to start over. Anyone willing to black hat will be able to rule MSN rankings.

You don't need to be a black hat. Ranking on MSN is easy. If you have a good Yahoo listing you seem to do even better when MSN applies their algo to their bought in Yahoo results.
