MSN "magic"

Try this nifty "magic" trick with MSN - especially if your former top placing site has "disappeared" from the SERPs.

Type in the keyword as normal.

On the bottom of the first page of results navigate to at least the third page.

On the third page, use the number one on the bottom to return to the first page of results.

TA DAH - you are most likley number one again!

Now if we could just get the searchers to do that, we'd be doing something!

I know they are SO broken it's not even funny. All my sites are of a very specific and somewhat narrow "niche" - I was shocked when I discovered forward we are no where to be found (but all the China spam that you can handle) and if you flip back, we are at number one.

They are even oddly quiet on their new SERPS.

Maybe it's a bug or a glitch from MSN search engine algorithm. But I think it's ok to see your site at the number one spot

We still get about 5-7% from Live and are in the top 3 slots for most keywords. About the same with Yahoo. Google is the 800 pound gorilla and only seems to get stronger and stronger.

A year or so back we used to talk about somebody has to be able compete with Google... All that talk died a long time ago. Nobody seems to be able to put anything together that even comes close.
