MSN Live Directory Issue
I have submitted a site 3 times over the past two months to MSN Live and have yet to get the site indexed. I have done this before for many sites and had no issues. Is anyone else experiencing these problems?

There's been a lot of very similar reports on the slowness of getting indexed in Live. Are you using the live webmaster tools for this particular site?

No I am not. How do I get there and what is the procedure?

If you have links to your site you should get in without problem. Almost all of our pages are in and we submit nothing. They are in within at most a couple of weeks. Sometimes they draw traffic from there before Google sends traffic.

MSN Live has been really finicky lately as far as the indexing goes. One of my top sites completely disappeared after being #1 for over a year. An now MSN Live is just showing 2 pages as indexed.
One thing I did notice was that Live likes really fresh content. If a site is getting a bit dated, update the index page content and the meta data for your 2nd tier pages and then resubmit. That worked for me. |
