MSN listings gone...

Up until yesterday I was ranking very competitively for a lot of my keywords on the new beta MSN. Today I was checking around and my site has completely disappeared from their SERPs, much like it is in Google and Yahoo. I was doing a couple of things trying to figure out what has gone wrong, one of them being a “site:” search. I noticed that the index page URL listed is “www.inclaunch.com/?trackcode=bizcom” which it must have gotten from the Business.com directory (hence the bizcom part). I’m almost positive that up until today the index URL was listed properly, "www.inclaunch.com/", and adding the “?trackcode=bizcom” to the URL is responsible for my listings disappearing. Has anybody had any experience with this?

Thumbs up

You can't really count on what is happening with MSN right now. Even if you are number one on the new MSN beta, you might not be there when they launch. They're tweeking their algo right now, so be prepared to see drastic changes...

The most significant changes will probably come right before the launch....

I imagine that thier first order of business is to build the indexes size, then take out the garbage, then organize what's left...

Yeah but why did MSN find the link URL from another site and make that my URL in the SERP? I went from #2 to the bottom of the 21st page...

They are probably starting to implement filters as they test and tweek their algorithm...... This is going to happen to alot of sites....

I'm guess they will implement flters one by one and view the results, testing tweeking in-between....

My listings came back today, thank god. My index URL listed now is the correct one.

There's something about that code after the ".com" that MSN's algo didn't like. Hopefully, things won't change too much before the launch.
