MSN is going nuts!
In the past week or so, MSN started flooding me with traffic. On the other hand, Google seems to have forgot about me. Google used to be my bread and butter for traffic, but now they have really dropped the ball.
This is a good indication that the overall quality of the SERPs the two are spitting out. MSN is ranking more relevent sites (like mine) better than Google. I've also noticed an increase in positive feedback coming from visitors who have found my site through MSN. Uniques in the last 4 days from: MSN 26,413 Yahoo 16,560 Google 2,957 Others 1,720 Jeeves 786 |

that's weird statistics. It isn't consistent with search engine market share data

The SE market share data is likely more a reflection of the spidering activity than the other way around. Thus, MSN would like to change those stats by getting more of the sites and giving their own flavored ranking.
Strangely, the MSN bot has not been to my newer sites yet, whereas Google started grabbing them the first day I put them up (because of the decent backlinks) -- I think MSN's current spidering is based on some older cache of availble sites; they're just catching up. Cygnus
