Yeah, it happens here too, but that's good news, sooner or later you will see your page at msn

Only when their new index goes live. They are using a variation of the Yahoo! data at the moment.

MSN is not using Yahoo data for anything. Can't wait to see what MSN launches. I think and hope it is close to release. They are the only ones that may have a chance against Google (I am a Google fan... so don't jump down my throat). I have given up on Yahoo and the rest.

Just another "me-too" that I saw LOT more traffic from msnbot this last week - yea, be curious what they end up doing ... and as I've said in another thread, it would be nice if they fixed their bug where they strip the trailing /'s from pathname URL's ...

alek

MSN is powered by Yahoo at the moment just a different algo. They are collecting data for their new engine that isn't out yet.

Just to set everything straight

Hi I was searching about the msn bot and have only recently taken serious thought into SEO

I realise it's BETA, but hasn't it gone completly crazy? Are they preparing to launch soon.

My website is a forum and gallery based website until I finish the rest of the content (which has taken me months) I'm only a PR4 with google so the sudden surge of the msn bot surprised me.

This months stats

msnbot64047.search.msn.com 5945 hits bandwidth 179.38 MB
msnbot64046.search.msn.com 2037 hits bandwidth 102.13 MB
Googlebot (Google) 72 hits bandwidth 826.67 KB

Thats not a good sign.

MSN has upped up the pace but who knows what they are doing and how engine will work. It's supposed to launch soon. I say by the end of the year for the Christmas season.

MSB bot still hitting one of my sites - I think they need to tweak it so that it behaves better.

I know this thread is old but I was interested if the MSN bot was still hitting everyones sites and if anyone had an update on when they might "go their own way".
