MSN and the "S"

I've noticed that the use of "s" in words like "Widget & Widgets" has a profound effect on MSN. One keyword word search had a 500,000 page count difference. I can say it was the word "Job" and "Jobs" that was searched.

Same thing at google, I'm glad I covered my butt and optimized for both singular and plural words.

Same here, I used the "S" on my hompage since the "S" is used more than with out. Then I used the lack of the "S" on my secondary pages

I dont have a comparison, but my pages use plurals much more than singular since all of my products are pairs and im doing fairly well in msn vs yahoo. al though i would figure most in my space would focus more on plurals so im not sure if it really helps or not.

My main keyphrase in plural is at #15. Singular is at #4...
The problem is plural gets 3 times as many searches.

S does not matter

most domain name use the "s" but according to my knowlage with database search engine they remove all the plurals when looking for somthing i will explain

Let say i am looking for "top ten playstation games"
Search engine will just see "top ten/10 playstation game"

it kicks out the S
and it convert number ten to a name also

Well i am not so sure about this but almost postive .
