Too bad the results are still the old ones. Any idea when the new search engine will be implemented?

Just had a look and I see changes! One of our sites has never got into top 10 and has been between 15 and 20 on msn uk for last 2 years. Wasn't too bothered as was between 1 and 3 on Google but the site is now top 10 on msn uk! Anyone else seen any big chnages - up or down?

Yeah, the search.msn site is slowly getting sites from techpreview, it is still using pretty much the same algo though.

I enjoy MSN's new look. Kinda similar to Google and Teoma, but I like that simplistic style versus Yahoo's over complicated interface.

I can't stand MSN's serps though, spam in the top 10 results- even for academic type keywords. I wish Microsoft would allude to the release date of the new engine, or at least let us try another beta version.

Only MSN's "look" changed. Here it is: http://search.msn.com/When you actually search, it gives the same results as the www.msn.com search, as the MSN serps have not changed. At the end of 2004/ early 2005, MSN will have a new algorithmic search.

They are still slower than google so i have to stick to the G..

They have very poor SERPs. I have a spammy blog that appears above my main site for a keyword that I have been meaning to delete for some time. The fact that it appears anywhere at all in the SERPs is bad, but that high it shows thay have no finesse at all to their algo.

Only hope their own algo (when released) is substantially better but I doubt it.

Wish that was the case with most of our sites! Three out of four of our sites are the other way around, but I guess it keeps it fair, you can't be Number on every engine.....
or can you...

Yes you can if your site is relevent for the keyphrase.
Msn have a major problem with spam pages but I'm sure they will correct this in the very near future.
