Latest update of msn beta
I just noticed that results have changed for msn beta. I was searching
for the term "fishing" which is quite competive, top sites usually have 500+ inbound links. About a week ago, the results where similiar to yahoo and google. Now its bunch of random sites. One site http://www*thebobbers*com/ shows up as #2 with the word "fishing" mentioned twice in the body since its a site about a band not fishing. Checked inbound links and it shows 8, none of which are relevant to fishing. I don't get how this site can outrank sites like www*fishing*com, which has a link in the default pages when you create a geocites website. Or fishingworld*com which has 100s of articles both which don't even show up on the first page. I sure hope this just a mess up in their index, otherwise people are going to get turned off fast. |

That's what i'm seeeing all the time.
When msn crawls a site for the first time, they have a high ranking at first but after a couple off days they will drop out of the index. Msn likes fresh content, they don't like old results that's way authority site don't rank well in msn. If you refresh your pages everyday you could have a high ranking in no time. |
