Exclamation Importance of keywords in domain for MSN Crawler!?

Importance of keywords in domain for MSN Crawler:

My feeling is that MSN crawler likes keywords in your domain & that this has a role for receiving high rankings besides 'title' tag, keywords in header and content!!

So, at the moment I want to target my new Web site for keyword 'icons'. Unfortunately, all domains with single keyword 'icons' has been taken already! Probably you will say now to add additional word or keyword like for example: 'free-icons' >> The problem now is that MSN Crawler most likely will concentrate on keywords phrase 'free icons' instead of 'icons' alone, even when content will show ONLY keyword 'icons'!!

>>> I thought maybe a solution by using same keyword twice in domain to choose like for example: icons-icons.us!!

1. How will MSN Crawler look at mentioning twice same keyword?
It will think that 'icons' is my keyword to target?
2. Or it might even have a 'negative' effect on my keyword targetting?

Let me know...

Many thanks for your thoughts!

Mike

There is no doubt that MSN loves keyword in the domain name. But I don't think (haven't seen) that having more than one keyword in the domain name will have any negative effect on your rankings ...

What I mean here is that all domains (= extenions) for single keyword 'icons' are already taken like www.icons.us, if it's wise to choose domain like www.icons-icons.us OR MSN Crawler will like more a combination of words like www.free-icons.us, www.icons-world.us

As you mentioned MSN Crawler likes keywords in domains as well, so in my case all domains for single keyword 'icons' has been taken !!

What do you suggest here?

www.icons-icons-us OR something like www.icons-world.us if you look what is most favourable for MSN Crawler??

Thanks

So do I, but I have seen plenty of keyword1-keyword1 domains getting good ranking in MSN.

www.icons-world.us is better than www.icons-icons-us

Try to have your keyword as the first word in the domain name. I haven't seen any site getting penalized for using double keywords in the domain name. But it's obviously spammish.
