I'm first but don't get traffic when i should...

well 2 of my sites or on 1st and second position in MSN for the desired key phrase and the descriptions it shows are good.
I have top positions for the plural form too.
This key phrase is with 80k searches per month in overture.

well the problem is that i get only 5-15 hits per day from there... ??

how competitive is your keyword? Mine is moderately competitive and i am no1 for that one while i have 4-5 competitive kw in top 10 and all i got is 25-30 hits a day from msn and same from ask. so it can be normal..

Are your Title and Description sexy to attract traffic, are they talking about what the searchers actually looks for....???

And still you are seeing only that, please just check your KWs and with a small tweak inside you may get some more from them... What about your other KWs... ? and are you getting decent traffic fron Y and G..?

I think it's Normal to expect from MSn in a moderate KW... and if it's your Main KW.. then you may require to have a look into your KWs list once again and revise them...

Some keywords that pull 500+ uniques/day from Google at 80th+ position only manages 1 or 2 a day from MSN at #1 for me, so it all sounds normal. Just convince your family and friends to use more MSN

A title like "Free Free Hot Good Best Better Than Ever" isn't attractive at all, if you did so it's time for you to change!

well there are about 20M pages for it in google, and as i mentioned 80k searches per month in overture


@kichus, the weird thing is that my titles and descs on the both sites are the best it can select, so yes they are good


infact the key phrase i use is the most generic one, and gets the most traffic from all other words for that niche (again according to overture)


on google i'm on second page and get even less from there


uh maybe the explanation is that msn don't have that much search traffic?

if overture gets 80k searaches per month for that key phrase, how much searches i can expect on MSN?

MSN does not bring as much traffic as yahoo brings. That's for sure. If you want, you can post your url here, so we can check what can be wrong, or you can send me a PM with the URL..

It's not unusual to have first page results on MSN and receive few unique visitors. The conversion rate on MSN is poor in comparison to Google.

It all depends on how competitive your KWs are, how many people search those particular KWS etc - known in the trade as the Effectiveness ratio (ER).
