Hits tripled

Hits to my main webpage from MSN tripled yesterday. And I'm talking about search queries not the bot. Anyone else noticed this?

I have too, probably more like quadrupled - though that's not really saying much, as MSN has never been a huge referrer for my site. ;)

Will be interested to see the type of traffic that comes in once MSN search is gone fully live.

Yeah, I think you are right about that. What is interesting is that Google hits where reduced by 3 times yestrday. It doesn't make too much difference to me if the hits are coming from MSN or Google really, as long as they are coming.

I agree, msn has thrown a bunch more visitors in the past few days since the start of the beta ramp up. probably 3-4x more visitors from them than before right now

MSN has almost equaled my G traffic now. I love the way the MSN beta search is indexing..

GOOD results for the different keywords I try and think up.

Ill cross my fingers and hope it continues!!!

Same here. A site that has not yet climbed in Yahoo and Google, has been flying first class and first place in MSN. Lots of new traffic there.

I just checked logs for yesterday. MSN went from being 10th on the list of referrals to number one. It gives me almost 50% more traffic then Google ever did. Death to the King!long live the King!

3X+ increase on 01/18 of MSN referrals, all from MSN 'beta'.
BUT... Do not know yet if converting.
Y & G steady.

If the ramp up is anywhere near linear, with 14 days til the projected Feb 1 full roll out, hmmmm !!!
These may be a couple very memorable weeks.

can anyone let me know how many hits on msn they are getting for a top 5 SERP result vs how many hits overture or wordtracker says are searched per day? I want to see how many hits to expect with my positioning in msn.
Thanks!

I have not noticed too much of an increase other than the bot coming too my site. Also I notice I have been dropped from top 20 too top 100 on my keywords :-( I am trying to see what I can do.

Your probably over optimized, I know my sites took hits in the msn beta after I added an <h1> with my keywords and change the page navigation links to include my keywords. Yahoo likes the page, but msn beta hates it.
