I originally optimised for yahoo and google but it seems msn has gone crazy over my optimisation, so i will be happy to share any tips with you all

Only been working on the site for a few weeks,
Pointer, msn is scooted for on page optimisation, good site structure and good density you can hit position 1 with hard work and perserverance

I get rank just about any site for any term in a couple months at the most. But it produces hardly any traffic even for competitve phrases which get searched often.

Well you are rigth msn need to do something in his algo becuase sucks, i think he is planning to by yahoo, well that was a rumor. If msn continues like that will be like altavista

I have seen slight improvements and I know Payne is bound and determined to make MSN #1 but I really can't see it happening. Unlike Altavista MSN is doing things I just don't think they have the brainpower Google does. Google has some the most brilliant people in the world as far as search engines and computers go.


Oh and I got to correct you on something. You keep calling Google, yahoo, msn etc he which it isn't. Google is a IT ;)

agree with danielfoley. MSN hardly drive traffic to you site though normally it have near 15% or more share in search market. Ok 15% in market share is not low. MSN is improving themselve. Let see what MSN do to withstand in Search competition.

I get some MSN traffic but I find it converting better on blogs. As long as it's quality, I don't complain about quantity, so I'm happy with any FREE traffic I get

Can you solve a mystery for me. We are listed on msn page 2 when searching 'ayurveda'. While we are a major site, there are really minor sites on page 1 (such as # www.indiatravelog.com/ayurveda - a site with a small linke to one ayurveda page).

Also, in some cases, they list the same site several times on the same page.

Im new at this, if I should be reading some link that answers these questions - I would appreciate that if Im asking something too simple -
