Has anyone been improving?

Has anyone been improving in MSN since the Beta release?

All of my sites have been slowly sinking after a huge start.

I wanted to hear from people that have been improving and what they think the keys are.

I have been improving.

Strong anchor texts H1 and H2 are they key to me.

My site has nice results on MSN for my targeting phrase and no result at all on google. I have got some visitors from MSN today and I don't think I have gotten that before.

My sites have been stagnent on M on Y and G going up. On M if I do a search for "I feel like a SEO idiot" that is slowly moving up in the rankings.

My best site has dropped some... but I have several other sites that have moved up nicely. A couple are in the google sandbox but getting nice traffic at MSN and Yahoo!

Luckily my competitors dont know much about SEO and ive got the top 2 places for my main keywords and phrases without too much hassle. I think the <h1>s and <h2>s are the business.

G has me sboxed so this is a great resource to have for a few hits a day. After the beta i saw improvements for all Kws.

Just wish more people used MSN!

I seem to be getting mixed results. I had a strong start on a very basic page that I put up. I then developed a new visually appealing site, and I thought better on page SEO optimization but I seem to have dropped from the 2nd to 3rd pages. I'm getting my only hits from msn as I seem to be sandboxed in google (new site).

my sites have improved ten fold... MSN is very glitchy still and forums sigs and sitewide links play a big role.

I had a high keyword density for my keywords that was hurting my rankings in Yahoo. So i changed it and lost my #5 position recently. I am focusing backlinks with good anchor text now and my site is slowly but surely moving up so my vote is Anchor text and backlinks!! Also a strong title tag is good IMHO
Thanks,
Ptdirect

Traffic at MSN has been inching up a bit over the last month for the same rankings -- I wonder where the market share is coming from.

I have had some improvement in the SERPS after being non-exisitent for 3 monthes. I have been paying more attention to my on-site seo to help with yahoo and msn. Yahoo still loves me.

Yep my rankings in MSN are now finally coming back to what they were during the beta test version.

It will be interesting to see what percentage of traffic there will be if any as a result.

MSN seems far more sensative to KW density.

A few weeks ago I added some purchasing info to some of our pages (I love the Paypal cart) and in doing so I had some awkward language that could be considered spammy. I was too busy to notice until our SERPs started dropping in Y and MSN (Google hates me right now). So I went back in and revised it. Made it less spammy and, sure enough, two days later I'm #7 which is not only back from the twenties but also a new high (only ever gotten to #10 on MSN before).

So if you're sliding an awful lot check out those KW densities and look for any potential spam.

I'm curious what you found around key word density. I have compared my pages to my top competitors key word density and I still have been dropped almost 15 pages. Maybe I'll revisit this.
