I'm not sure there's a big density % to shoot for (I try not to exceed 10% for any given page regardless but I'm also not anal to where I check KW density every time I update) but I had two sentences that were very similar and had a very specific phrase. Was one of those "Duh" moments.

Well, the algo just changed again this afternoon...seems like a regression of sorts. A few sub-domain spammers jumped in front of me, so I doubt it is permanent.

I had a keyword denisty of 12% and was ranked 5 for my keyword "personal trainer" for 2 weeks. I changed the denisity to 6% and my ranking went to 65. Yahoo had me penalized for such a high keyword denisty. I say focus on back links and anchor text to avoid getting penalized in other search engines Thanks, Ptdirect |

Hot start but cooling

Yep, mine too. Had many #1 spots, most keywords on 1st two pages but am seeing them drop. I did introduce a change recently with the use of subdomains. I shot up then but am now coming back now. The subdomains show up when doing a site:myname.com but they don't ever show up in the search results. Anyone know why that might be? |
