Estimated traffic?

Hi.
Is there someplace i could find out the estimated traffic for a keyword on MSN ?

I've seen tools for Overture and Wordtracker but none for MSN.

All of a sudden I am ranked #18 on MSN for a generic term.
I'm wondering about the traffic potential on MSN if I got on the first page. I could really use the traffic to my site for the holidays. What's wierd is that I only have a few backlinks for that keyword because I thought it was impossible.

Overture estimated: 6400+
Wordtracker : 4400+
MSN: ?

Thank you.

That isn't estimated traffic. It is searches done for that term over the last (day? week? month?), But you need to realize those results are inflated. And that even if you get #1 you won't get all of those click-throughs.

Anyway, that aside, I have not seen a tool for MSN searches. It would be nice though.

I would think that overture would give you an idea of what MSN is like since MSN uses overture. I just use DPs tool.

rmccarley agrees: That's what I do too, but Overture includes more than MSN in their results.

Thanks. Yes, I do know that it's for how many searches that were done. And, that not even the number one spot gets all that traffic. But, I use that to estimate what the possible traffic is to give me an idea of what keywords to target.

Web Gazelle, I use the DP tool also.

Exclamation Update - MSN Keyword Tool

If you are found this thread via the search engines, there is an update. MSN has a keyword tool integrated with their PPC program for their search engine (like Adwords). Go to http://adcenter.msn.com to sign up. I think it costs $5, but that is credited towards your ads.
