Does MSN target search phrases, like ASK?
Just had a look at http://www.imagine-msn.com/search/tour/moreprecise.aspx, where they promote the new MSN search.
They give a few examples of how good their new search is, all examples are full phrases like: What is a kinkajou? To me it looks like a lot like ASK, and personally didn't know they were targeting full phrases. Is this what they are targeting or are they just random examples........ Reading into the comments by Bill Gates,:
"Our mission at Microsoft is to use the power of software to solve our customers' toughest problems. Searching the Internet today is a challenge, and it is estimated that nearly half of customers' complex questions go unanswered. That's why we're proud of our new MSN Search service, a simple and powerful tool that helps you find the answers you want from sources as diverse as Web pages, images, news headlines, music downloads, and even files on your PC" -webpronews 2/1/05 I had the same thought, that MSN is concentrating on longer phrases, question type searches. |
