Does Live.com follow 301 Redirects from non-www to www?

We implemented a 301 Redirect couple weeks ago and our homepage has been spidered at least 3 times, yet we still have the following problem ...

Homepage - WEBSITE.COM
All other pages - www.website.com

Is there a particular reason why the non-www domain name is in capital? I noticed this with other websites too.

Any insight will be more then appreciated, thanks.

All decent robots (including those of Microsoft) understand 301 redirects. Of course, you need to be patient and two weeks could still be a bit short in some circumstances.

It would be easier to help with your domain name.

Checking redirects is now as easy as 1 2 3, even if you are not a HTTP-header guru !

I read on other forums that few more people are reporting same problem with Live.com and couple of them have been waiting even for two months to no effect.

The website in question is www file-extension com

Live's bot is getting a fresh cache of our homepage every couple days, even recently after we implemented the 301 redirect ... yet no change. Google on the contrary has already noted the change, at least on homepage itself.

If Live's bot did not even visit the homepage, I would understand. But it's been visited very often since then, still nothing ...

MSN are having issues with 301 redirects currently. To quote Jeremiah Andrick of Microsoft from a post in the Microsoft Webmaster Tools forum: "We are having issues with 301 redirects at this time. We are working hard to make improvements in this area and we will get it right"

At least there is justification for it. Im glad that we now know what the heck has been going on with MSN.
