changing domain but same site

hi,

i recently found out that my domain name has been previously registered and is probably banned by google. so i decided to buy a new related domain name. my site has content and a message board that is well spidered by MSN.

i would really appreciate your advice on how to move my site to the new domain name but with a positive impact on MSN.
I would not want to be penalized for having a duplicate site.

i was thinking to delete everything from the original site and create a ErrorDocument 404 pointing to the new domain name.

or should i use .htaccess url rewrite pointing to my most important files and folders, does that have any good effect for MSN.....

i'm asking for your advice on this!
