Blogs?

I have a couple Blogs that Google indexed up ages ago but MSN and Yahoo have yet to do so. Anybody have bad experiences with MSN or Yahoo like this?

Do you have any BL's to your blogs? if not then get some and yahoo and msn will index them in a heart beat!

Just add your blog to your My Yahoo! account (get one if you dont have one already), and Yahoo will gobble it up right away.

The same goes for MSN - add it to My MSN.

msn dont seem to care about my google blogs one bit, but they are providing good results right now so i cant moan
But it has come to my attention msn dont like google blogs, do msn rate blogcity? who are you blogging with?

I have had my blogs on both my "my yahoo" and "my msn" personalized pages for a couple months now. Unfortunately, that still hasn't helped to get the sites indexed.

What's the url? Maybe one of us can throw a link your way.

Funny you mention that - I started a Hulk Blog recently (here is the first post) and while I see some ranking on Google and Yahoo for "Hulk's Blog", MSN doesn't seem to even know about it yet - maybe MSN is slower at spidering Google's blogspot service (?)

Provide interesting and informative blog postings, and natural inbound links are likely to happen ver yquickly from other blogs.

Note that bloggers are very generous linkers, and freely link to posts that are of interest to themselves and their readers. Bloggers are not link hoarders. Blogs are built on links, both in and out from the blog.

Link freely to other bloggers' posts, and you will often be pleasantly surprised to receive permanent home page links, or links from within posts to your blog.

With blogs, the more generous you are with your links, the more likely you are to receive links back. In fact, your generosity will be returned many times over.

I still have no idea what a blog is (is it a kind of online diary open to the public?)

My experience shows that news sites (maybe a blog is a site?) tend to get picked up rather quickly by Google, a little more slowly by Yahoo! but if you want to get one into msn, you'd better help it on its way with a few craftily placed links on pages already in their index.

MSN seems to be noticably slower at finding and indexing new pages without a little help.

So if a blog is anything like a web site or a web page (and judging by previous postings, I assume that it is), you could do worse than popping it's url somewhere where msnbot might happen upon it.

(I hope blog isn't something disgusting - I'm always getting caught by that kind of thing).
