Beta MSN & MS small business directory
I read somewhere that a registration with ms small business directory gives a boost in MSN. Iam not sure if it is the old MSN search or the upcomming beta. If it does give a boost in the beta i think i'll register asap since iam on page 2 now on many of my keywords and (like everyone) i want to get on to page 1.

Besides that, does the directory itself also send visitors? And what are the payment options (can't find it on the site), do they accept paypal for example and is it possible to receive a receipt?

The only thing I really hate about the MSN registration is that, like Yahoo! billing - it's recurring.....

if it was a one time fee I would have paid a long time ago, but I just HATE recurring billing...

I don't like recurring bills either, but on the other hand it's at least not monthly and it's pretty 'cheap' if you compare it with other and especially speciality directories. However if it doesn't even give a small boost (i don't know if it does) it should send some visitors otherwise it's pretty useless i guess. Does anyone has experience with this of how many visitors per day or month you get by them? Directories usually have 1 thing in common, not sending visitors, but on the other hand a backlink is a backlink and if there's enough it will count for the serps.

My guess is it should be a good backlink.... for some reason I suspect it's a bit better than average....

As far as traffic - probably very little....

I should really just submit.....

Problem is - once I start submitting - I won't stop...

I'll wind up with 30 renewals happening all year long....

on second thought......

I don't need that.....

A strong foundation can be built without it....

I checked theire Alexa ranking (i know this doesn't say mutch, but it could give an idication.) It does at least beat directories such as bluefind.com an business.com

It's a shame they havent been able to make it more noticable...

Go to MSN search and try "MSN Small business directory" and it doesn't make the first page. Forum links are there... but no MSN biz directory.

I have a hard time finding it myself as well, but i figured since they have an alexa rank lower than any other directory (besides DMOZ.org) the page gets visitors one way or another. But apperantly this isn't the case either.

Did you notice any significant boost in either the new or old MSN or any other searchengine?
